Fairly sure that the five lug (454SS) 9.5" 14 bolt has different brake mounting flanges than the standard 10 bolt. Not sure about other variations...

I'd imagine the five and six lug 9.5" 14 bolts probably share the same flanges as well, but don't quote me on that.

Easy to see them being different as they have different diameter tubes(10b/14b).

I'm surprised that the SS454 axle doesn't already have the 11.x rear drums.

But I don't think I've ever seen an SS454 truck in person.

I converted my sf 14b to disc, and my master cylinder to a gmt800.

It is nice to be able to check and change brake pads quickly, also never have to worry about adjustments. The master cylinder feels better but takes more force (on the brake pedal) to get the same work done. I might replace the brake pads with something more grippy when the time comes. My brakes work well, but you really have to push that pedal in panic situations, and I have won several state championships racing mountain bikes so leg strength isn't my issue.

Front is oem (8 lug k2500) JB7, rear is 1980's K20 JB6 front calipers. Controlled by a Wilwood adjustable prop valve & no abs.

I thought the Little Shop Manufacturing conversion kit was pretty well liked here? I was going to get their front upgrade and rear disc conversion. My 92 is terrifying in emergencies. Don't want to go that route if it's not worth it.

Eh... I'd say not so much. There are some who have it and swear by it, but others have been disappointed with the results. Other members here have also pointed out some design issues, the big one being the way the calipers mount. More info:
