Rear axle slipping. I

That tells you it's in park. The truck can not move if the drive shaft does not turn. The wheels turn in opposite directions , that's the spider gears turning not the diff, therefore the truck could not move.

Today I took it off jack stands and put the transfer case in high four wheel drive and didn't have any issues so it's really got me puzzled

What type of rear differential do you have? With the transmission in park, you wear able to turn the wheels , did they move in opposite directions? And did the driveshaft turn or did it not turn?
Yes they moved in opposite directions and the drive shaft did not turn

What????? One big long something or other that I don't want to get a headache trying to decipher. Someone here may talk......whatever that is. Sorry, but you make it too hard to follow along.
I was just trying to be thorough,My first time on here.Its probably OCD or something.
