Question about oil pan bolts

right that seems logical. But would you say that the oil left on the bolts would cause a leak? When i took them off the pan i put them in a cardboard box and there was enough oil on them for there to be some left on the carboard before putting them back on

Unless they are dripping wet I wouldn't worry about it. It's a rubber pan gasket. The oil won't hurt it (obviously haha) I doubt enough oil made it to the sealing surface to be an issue. the cardboard will absorb most of the oil.
