Ive been wanting to do something like this as well, I tried flipping the lid the other day just to see how it drove and it seems to idle a little different and has a loud intake growl. Is this hurting anything like gas mileage or???

I actually did the exact same thing. I would say no not at all on the MPG wise. Its pretty much like having a open element air filter setup anyways. It to me felt like it had alittle more go to it, but that might be my imagination.

No problem...I can already see I am going to go over my budget like usual....

Where do people get their smooth 'stock' vehicle front bumpers from? Rockauto has them but with license plate holes and I want to have complete smooth ones.

No patches or plugs or anything. 400 bucks for the tires. A extra 60 bucks for these wheels...

Not sure how I feel about those wheels. What do you all think?

Just got back from my buddy's house and damn I am thankful he's a good guy. Kid did my cab corners, replaced my half rotten driver side rocker with spare sheetmetal, helped me fill in the bolt holes left from the previous owner on the bedsides than body worked and also did a Cat delete....Needless to say, one step closer to Paint!!

I plan to take care of the rest of the body work needed, like the dimples on the passenger fender, hood and tailgate. Now that I know how to do it, I feel more confident I can get it pretty straight. Hope I can do what I think I can do! haha.

BTW, any suggestions on the wheels posted above? x8's or x10's would be better with the 3.75 BS if I want the wheels to stick out slightly, and not half the tread?
