I couldnt find one either and they were all broken in the pickups that I had access to so I started looking in other vehicles. I didnt modify anything either, I just cut the plug off the doner vehicle along with the switch to verify if the colors matched. whatever the vehicle was, it was from the same era, I didnt think it would work but it did.

I dont think it was from a van, looks like it may have been an S10 judging by google images of dashes and I dont see one in the van's.

Yeah the switch you showed looks like a nbs switch. The square one instead of the rectangle.

You should pull all you can find. Like the OP, mine fell apart in my hands when I pulled the bezel to work on my AC switch. It is JB welded back together but, doesn't work if I turn off the passengers air bag, I get the air bag light on the dash. As long as I leave it set to air bag on, I'm good, but I really don't want that air bag going off in a wreck. I almost never have a passenger.

After I reinstalled the switch I noticed that if it were off I was getting the light on the dash. Prior to pulling it that wasn't the case though. I wonder if the code just needs resetting.

Same exact thing mine did. We swapped the seats in my son's 2010 Tacoma. We found a nice set of bucket seats in a Kia Rio I think. Anyway the Tacoma had a bench seat with side curtain air bags in the seat. The bench seat, had broken springs in the driver's side seat area. The Kia don't have side curtain air bags, so I did some research. There is a plug in device that you can plug into the connector to fool the ECM. The ECM, sends a signal and is looking for X amount of resistance in the system. It is what the air bags pull. I am sure that this is what is in our air bag switches. Turn off the air bag, and it switches to a resistor inside of the switch. Turn on the air bag, and it switches over to the air bag itself. Get a into a wreck, with the switch on, and the passengers air bag deploys. Switch off, and the air bag has no power going to it, to set it off, but when the ECM sends the signal, the resistor is inline to give the correct feed back to the ECM. Also, if the ECM doesn't get a signal, then the airbag light comes on, and it disables your SRS system. Here are pics of the Tacoma seat swap.

That's so nice. My seats aren't terrible but I plan on doing something with them when I finally get the truck in order. I just got it like a month ago or so. Have to do suspension on it new tired. Wanna do brakes and all the fluids. Upgrade the master cylinder.

When my 60-40 driver's seat got worn, I found a set of 1995 Tahoe bucket seats at a swap meet. So that's what's in my 97 now with a 2004 Tahoe console back section and a front section I built with a 1970 Chevelle floor shifter that I built. Only the shifter handle is online parts store bought.

When my 60-40 driver's seat got worn, I found a set of 1995 Tahoe bucket seats at a swap meet. So that's what's in my 97 now with a 2004 Tahoe console back section and a front section I built with a 1970 Chevelle floor shifter that I built. Only the shifter handle is online parts store bought.

You showed me that on my intruduction post. And I've been going crazy trying to find a center jump with the console ever since lol

Though, the first cosmetic thing I'm doing after I get a full tune up, is the steeribg wheel. I'm putting an nrg 13" with quick release (just cuz it dings and that's funny) because I HATE how big the wheel is. It protrudes so far, even with my seat all the way back. I feel like I'm driving a tractor trailer.
