Scan tools have an ABS bleed function for these ABS units for a reason. That's the REAL procedure. Anything else is just a band-aid...

Without more info/troubleshooting, sounds like the hose. If you go drive it for a while it'll likely come back. Then you can jack up...

I would adjust the existing box, and see what happens. Costs nothing but your labor; and really, you shouldn't have to remove the box...
