I did a decent amount of towing with my vortec 305 and it was nutless kt was a good truck to cruze around it but if you wanted performance it had no balls either get a 350 or jump up and g et the 454 if ya wanna tow

yeah, i think i'm going to keep my current truck. i just picked up a goodmark cowl hood for it from the swap meet today! i can't wait to get that on.

I have a 97 ecsb 6in lift 35's 3:73's with the vortec 305 & it isn't a power house but it's is ok for towing. there is only 12 to 15 hp difference between the305 &350 for same year. I have an intake, exhaust, programer and around town I still get 12mpg. I would love to put a 350 in it but for the last 12 years I have not had any major issues. but that's my 2¢. to each their own.
