First go at something like this, never made a build thread but I've been extra motivated lately and feel like this is the perfect truck for me to work in right now. Bought a 1995 SCLB C2500 5.7/4L80E/10.5 corporate/8 Lug for $1130, running and driving perfectly just needs a heap of cosmetics. I plan on using the truck for work and play, pulling a car trailer/enclosed trailer and turning the bed into a camper. For now I just plan on getting it clean and back in good shape, doing a 8 leaf 3500HD spring swap, 2" coil spacers up front to level it, uncertain on doing the grill/headlight conversion (could use opinions on this, the W/T grill has grown on me), LED lights on the interior, running a power inverter and maybe secondary power in the rear, getting the heat back working.

Also thinking of redoing the floor with carpet (although I do dirty work so this might not be the best) and of course replacing the seat with another bench. I would love bucket seats, but I'm not comfortable drilling into the floorpan to do it so another bench if 60/40 will do me fine, already source a few at the local scrap yard. Passenger door latch needs replacing, doesn't fully close the door so just bangs around when driving, and have to get another handle. Radio/speaker upgrades are last on my list on the inside, getting some tint is closer to the top I HATE riding in a glass house.

Cleanest I could get the bed under the bedliner today, but definitely will be getting it much cleaner sometime this week and doing a rollon/spray in bedliner setup

Purple power and washed the outside of the truck today, looks SO much better off that alone. Can't wait to get the wheels/paint right and have the interior cleaned out to match. Couldn't today, but will be deep cleaning the interior too and eventually painting the dash/trim pieces/door panels to freshen them up.

Again, this truck will be used to pull a trailer almost full-time with the bed converted to a camper setup, recommendations/suggestions based on this are encouraged.

For your set up I recomend a exhaust system. Tinted windows. Power locks/ window upgrade of not equipped. Bedliner of course. Redo the steelies and coat the underbody. Maybe new parts on wear and tear items if still original. Insulate and new padding under flooring. And shoot. If your still bored maybe throw in a stroker lol

PO had a good sounding single in dual out flowmaster installed, sounds plenty good to me for now but definitely want to change to better headers at some point in time. I wouldn't mind the power upgrade at all, but hate dealing with wiring/wire harnesses that aren't radios or headlights, feel like trying to wire in power windows and locks would be a bit much. I'm very mechanically inclined, tend to stay away from electrical things through. I'm getting different wheels, found a really nice set at the scrap yard I might grab if they still have them when this next paycheck rolls around. Tinted windows coming SOON.

Thought about maybe doing a dually conversion WAY down the line, but is it worth it?

It be badass but I'm one of those that would want a 7.4 or 6.5 for a dually lol. But gm did throw in a 5.7
