The truck is officially on hold for at least a few months.
Got the truck back finally from the tranny shop on the 15th. A week before that, the wife's car spun a rod bearing pretty bad. Good thing I got the truck back right? Wrong! the Monday after getting it back the passenger side wheel hub semi grenaded, took out a trans cooler line, and started a small fire under the truck. So those brake lines, trans lines, wheel hub, and some wiring are all shot.
Once i finish rebuilding the wife's engine I'll have to sit down a figure out what I'm doing with the curse, I mean truck. Right know I'm either going to part it out or SAS the front and add some turbos and keep it as an off-road only kind of truck.

^^^What he said - after all that work you put in, it'd be a shame to tear it all apart again.

Long time no update.

After a trip to sema and a lot of conversations and ideas later... I still have the truck.

Current plans:

Dana 60 front
- 14 inch travel coilovers, double triangulated 4 link
Ford 10.25 rear - will remain leaf for a while but will be converted over to coilover and double triangulated 4 link

Engine - procharged 5.3 lq4, holley terminator ignition,

Trans - 4l80E

Transfer - undecided

Frame - will be reinforced to accommodate the suspension mods

Once time allows, I'm going to start stripping the truck down to start the front suspension.

Had some time free up and was able to start working on the truck again.
Going to be ordering some material soon to start work on the front suspension.

How bad the hub was.

Was able to get the brackets chopped off this weekend. Just need to grind it down flush.

Axle truss, brackets, and frame stiffener should be arriving this week.

And I'm in the market for another Mig welder. Mine has over exceeded its life span. Any suggestions?

Axle truss, link brackets, and frame plate are in. Need to finish prepping the frame for the plate and start stripping down the front diff for the truss.

What do you guys think, epoxy or powder coat the axle when is down?
