I have the factory gas box but it has that lame elbow. I'd thought about doing a Volant box but this would be much cheaper if I can find one.

$125 is less than I've spent on various cold air intake stuff over the years trying to find something decent for my 5.3. I think I'm going to get one!

So, my cost on this adventure is around $110.

Used an Amazon 99-06 4" "Cold air intake" kit, 6.5 TD airbox, 1/2" wide 304 SS clamps to replace what was in the amazon kit, 4" x 12" silicone coupler, new filter element for the 6.5 TD airbox.
