When I bought my 1990 k2500 the seller explained that the had a new engine put in by Kendel Chevrolet in Eugene, Oregon. They did not have the receipts but I felt they were being honest.
There is a Bar Code sticker with 12520270
the # for the L05 190 hp for 8600 gwvr madein Mexico replacement engines.
Also is the # 34 12520270
C34 and
10C34M003040012
I would like to know if anyone here can help me learn from this bar sticker about my replacement engine.

What do you want to know about it? I have the same Mr Goodwrench 5.7L made in Mexico in my 88 C1500. It said that right on the valve cover. It came with 193 "swirl port" casting heads 1.94/1.50" valves, the "peanut" cam, at 0.050" and 1.5 rockers it is a whopping .382/.402" lift. The block has 2 bolt mains where the HD had 4 bolt but, lower compression and HP IIRC. HTH

Yeah you are better off looking at the casting numbers to really see what you have. My 350 was also rebuilt in mexico... casting number says 4 bolt main block (i confirmed) and is also machined for roller cam if I wanted to go that route

Thanks just wanting to confirm that lthe longer # is a Mr. G Serial # and whether or not it can be dated. Also does the C34 or 34 mean anything. I plan on leaving it alone as a stocker.
Appreciate your help. Also was told engine has <20 k miles as seller was 92 years old and just drove it around 2,000 miles per year to haul bark dust, hunt and fish. The dealer installed it in 2012.
Also wanted to confirm what I was told by the seller.

OK most of my goals are learning and fixing the parts that need repairs keeping it original. Just purchased a used oem chrome rear bumper fwiw. Truck cost was $2800. Mr. Goodwrench Sealed the deal, along with new battery and AC system restore. He paid $600 to have AC fixed . A lot of bang 4 the buck old pickup. Paint missing clear coat but touched up maroon paint..

One other piece of trivia would be if these were complete all new engine build parts from the ground up or rebuilt and if so what components rebuit? Estimate of GM dealer labor to remove and install new engine.
