Thank goodness they are now blue again.
I used to live in the San Joaquin Valley (Los Banos and Merced). Whenever I flew in to Fresno, I could see the brown haze just hanging there, couldn't even see the ground until we were coming down through it. It's still ugly.

That's cuz too many people live there.
Yeah, back in the 80s too many idiots from San Jose would sell their $!M homes and come to Los Banos to pay $300K for a bigger home. Plus, all of the smog generated on the coast gets blown over the mountains into the valley and settles there!
