key ignition cylinder switch out

hey whats up guys well my dilemma is i wanted to know if anyone has switched out the key ignition switch with out have 2 diff keys like 1 for and one to start the truck.i have a 98 silverado and i wanted to know if you can switch it out and still have the same key to open and start the truck. well please let me know where i can get it at or what do i have to do. love this forum by the way alot of help

You will most likely have to replace your ignition cylinder as well as all your door locks. I got all mine from ebay for my Tahoe just message the seller and he will set you up.

Go to a dealership and buy your new switch them ask them for the key code. Then you key your new switch to your original key.
