how to jump a fuel pump with battery to see if it works?

I have a 1989 chevy k1500 snow plow truck with a bunch of rats nest wiring done to it. I just want to unplug the fuel pump from the harness on top of the fuel tank and hook up a battery to see if it spins or not to see if the pump is bad or something with the wiring.

which wires do I hook up the positive and negative terminals to from the battery? and do you have a breakdown of those wires coming out of the tank? which one is for what purpose?

In the top/middle is the fuel pump wiring. i dunno how accurate this is tho
