I hear ya. No one knows their back spacing! Backspacing and tire size. Need to have both. I’m only gonna run 18’s. I’m gonna use this to tow and haul stuff. That said I’d like to run the widest tire/rim combo I can. The answer isn’t easy to find even though there are tons of these trucks on the road.

When I get it back from paint, I’ll measure it and order what’s needed. Just thought I could cheat on here by copying someone else.

Just measured mine. Id feel very confident with a 10" rear with 5.5" backspace. Its enough that its long away from the leaf spring, yet still inside the fender.

Seems like 20’s are going to have to be the rim I end up putting on it: can’t find find matching tires for the 18’s I want. Those were 255/50r18 and 295/45r18 in torq-thrust.

I’ll head out today to a few tire shops to see if they have any 20 inch wheels with our bolt pattern that I can try on. I just don’t want it to look to bling. The goal for this truck is a nice clean truck with good power.

I got the truck back from paint yesterday. I put the new air damn a fog lights on it. Still need to adjust the fog lights but here we are as of now:

I borrowed this from another thread, not mine so I accept no liability.

Wheel Spacing Information For Lowered Trucks

These numbers are the absolute minimum and will keep the wheel inside the fenders. Your wheel diameter, tire selection and drop will be the desiding factors in whether or not you have to roll/modify inner fenders/lips.

When you're looking to buy a wheel, you will need to know either the Offset or backspacing of the wheel. If you're looking at a wheel and it doesn't meet the specified numbers for it's width, it will not tuck and there's no chance with your stock track width. so this is to help with wheel selection.

The key number you need to assess is the front spacing. it needs to be 4.25" or less. If the front spacing on the wheel is higher than that it will not matter what the backspacing is because it will never tuck

    the Categories are the width:

    7"
    Offset:-6mm or higher
    Backspacing:3.75" or higher

    8"
    Offset:+6mm or higher
    Backspacing:4.75" or higher

    8.5"
    Offset:+12mm or higher
    Backspacing:5.25" or higher

    9"
    Offset:+19mm or higher
    Backspacing:5.75" or higher

    9.5"
    Offset:+25mm or higher
    Backspacing:6.25" or higher

    10"
    Offset:+30mm or higher
    Backspacing:6.75" or higher

    10.5"
    Offset:+38mm or higher
    Backspacing:7.25" or higher

    11"
    Offset:+45mm or higher
    Backspacing:7.75" or higher

    12"
    Offset:+63.75mm or higher
    Backspacing:8.75" or higher
