Did you happen to keep track of your mpg in the big trucks?
Yes Sir. I hand calculated every single fill up on every one of those trucks. Still have the logs digitally saved, actually

This thread would've been nice to find. I used to daily drive my trucks, but gas being 4.50 + a gallon, nah. I drove my 89 everywhere. It's got rust, mud, water, grime, oil, driveshaft pieces, coolant, god knows what else all over it and yet; I hit the key, and it starts. My 94 starts every time too. The MSD ignition system is way too overpowered and the side pipes are just too hilarious to remove. Makes the strangest sound ever.

MPG for my vehicles I used this week:
89: Pfffft
94: Not enough
Wifes blazer: 15 MPG
Toyota T100: 12.

I purchased my 98 C1500 Silverado RCSB 5.7 5 speed new in 98. It had been sitting in the back of the lot since April because no one was interested in a manual transmission. I always take care of it even though we don't have a garage. It has 111,*** miles on it and is completely stock except for Cragar Bonneville wheels. I retired in 13' and I put about 4000 miles on it in the summer. It's been reliable except in 16' I went through 4 fuel pumps.

When we still had our cottage it got 22mpg on the highway but not so good now at 15 mpg.

I drove my 100 miles a day for years until late 2008, and then it was still dally, but just in town. I stopped drving it daily again in 2019, as I started driving 100 miles to get back and forth to work again. I just got done driving it daily for about 2 weeks since my Volvo was down.

454/4l80E, 4.10 gears, 4x4, srw, rclb

I used to get 12.6 regualrly on the highway The last two tanks I checked now that the truck has 300K miles were 13.1. Many years ago I did have a calcualted 15.x, but I think it was a fluke.

As I mentioned before, mine is my Dailey, but the 10 MPGs in town, hurts. Still, I would rather drive my truck, than some POS that I hate.
Oh, and I forgot to mention, that my truck, is tuned for premium gas.

I use my truck for my sheet metal fabrication business but due to the price of petrol I only do 2x 100 mile round trips into the city a week. We are paying the equivalent of $7.60 USD per US Gallon and it goes up each week due to our openly socialist government shutting down our only oil refinery and having to buy refined fuel on the open market and have it shipped all the way down here to New Zealand. While it is expensive to run, a man still has to get some pleasures in life and driving my truck is one of mine.

One of mine is too, and it's the one with a V6 that's supposed to be "economical."

I've been considering putting the other PCM that's tuned for 87 back in it but I just can't bring myself to do it.
