How do I rebuild the front end? (order of operation?)

I'd be checking the distributor cap. (...#5 and wire, plug and cranking compression.)

Cam retard problems would be there whenever it's running--not six months later, and not on ONE cylinder.

My theory (which is hardly worth the paper its written on) was that having the cam retard set inaccurate by a little would compound other problems such as corroded terminals.


Either way the problem wasn't corrosion in the distributor this time, seemingly (they were fairly clear), it seems to have been the plug, an NGK.
