Any help is greatly appreciated.

This is regarding a 1996 Chevy c1500 5.7

Over this last spring, the high beams became my only functioning lights.
The DRL simply weren’t functioning at all, but the high beams ironically started working flawlessly during this time.

After watching YouTube videos about this, I found this guy:

EXTREMELY helpful electrical troubleshooting video for the DRL,
Turns out I had the same problem as the video maker, it was my DRL diode.

As soon as I replaced this diode, my DRL started working flawlessly. But now when I turn on the high beams, it just makes my DRL slightly brighter, turns OFF the DRL indicator on the dash, but doesn’t turn on the high beams indicator.

Any help would be awesome.

Is this with the headlight switch on or off? If it's off, you shouldn't be able to get brights at all and the DRL indicator should stay on. With the headlight switch ON, the DRL indicator turns off and the brights should work as expected.
