HELP Engine swap harmonic bal. Pulley alignment issue

Ok so I'm in the middle of putting new 350 in my truck from 1990 chevy van. When we put the harmonic balancer pulley on it sticks out a 1/4 inch from the power steering pulley. We homes the harmonic balancer already it was out about 5/16. I check part numbers on harmonic balancer and pulley from both truck are the same. Not sure what to do any advice would be great

Problem was cheap China aftermarket parts store brand harmonic ballancer, called previous owner said he wrecked the original balancer lessened learned on cheap aftermarket ****
