I just changed the headers on my 89 k1500 5.7
I plugged the egr hoses and now it seems like it’s out of timing or something like that
The truck can’t stay turned on
Do I have to reconnect the egr hoses?
Or what should I do, I’m new in this

But if the new headers doesn’t have the hole for it? Should I go for the stock ones better?

Either reconnect the EGR plumbing and allow the system to do its thing, or have it disabled ("tuned") in the ECU.

To disable EGR effectively so that driveability isn't affected, you'll want it disabled in the ECU... at least that's been my experience with the 1995 and later vehicles, and I assume your 1989 is similar.
