I have a set of hooker long tubes for 2wd they bang around on the frame on the passenger side and the mount for the upper control arm.

On the driver's side the 02 sensor hits the floor but you can drop it in from the top on the drivers.

Then it’s time to dent them up so they don’t hit.

Yeah, I had to clearance a tube on my Z06. No way were manifolds going back on!

Engine would rub the steering shaft in a corner.

Totally disagree. Was the first thing I did on an otherwise stock 305. Woke it up big time in the RPM range where it spent 95% of its time running. Big torque gains off-idle to ~4,000 rpm. Then I replaced the stock Q-Jet intake manifold for a Performer RPM which woke it up even more.
