I installed the AUX Beam 5x7 lights in my '98 suburban and am very pleased with them. They have a very defined flat cut off beam that does not bleed upwards and they are not blinding to on coming traffic( I drove several other vehicles toward my truck to check).

Did you use the f15 aux beam ?

A slightly modified stock housing, It is not very hard to do just a bit of trimming at the back of the housing.
