So. I swapped my engine for a new crate motor in my 98 5.7. Now my front diff won't unlock. I tried unplugging the actuator, but it seems that doesn't work with the 4-wire electric solenoid.
Also the key switch won't kick the starter,. The truck starts fine if I jump the relay but the key does nothing.
I can only assume I've pinched the harness somewhere but I can't find anything, and the oddity of these issues has me lost.
I have noticed that if I put the key in the start position the "4x4" light on the floor dims
