You may also just be getting the delayed emails from back before you changed your settings. Once the old emails all catch up then they may stop.

I don't want to lose the things I'm subscribed to but just wanna lose the emails. I've changed the settings and still keep getting them!

if you select that, you won't get emails but they will come through your control panel
