That's nice looking, I really like it. Have you noticed any drop in reception going to the shorter antenna? If not then I may have to pick up a couple of these.

There was a drop in reception when I put a 7" shorty antenna on my 98, I listen to bluetooth or CD's so it doesn't bother me much.

@vaquero Sorry, I just realized you were probably asking about cleaning the Loctite off of the threads, not loosening it. Maybe just scrape it off with a small wire brush, like from a gun cleaning kit?

I'll try that. Ironically I grabbed the Loctite FROM my gun box. I left it in there after I mounted a red dot.

I noticed a reception drop and no Loctite used. Went back to original.

Had to stop at Hazard Fraught to grab some cheap stepper bits, of course I was in the wife's car and not my truck. Parked behind this beauty.
I've seen it running around town a time or to but I haven't had an opportunity to get a close look!

This is a '53 Chevy half ton, all original drivetrain. Saw it at lunch in the Heights, talked to the owner some and loaned him a hammer to whack the shift linkage that sticks. If you look at the right edge of the picture Rawhide is there (this truck is a great great granddad of his I guess!).
And at our local Stafford True Value hardware store yesterday, I got to talk trucks a bit with the guy who helped me. He recognized the reel light I'd brought in, to get a magnet for, and he used to have a '95 rcsb with a TBI 350. Wishes he still had it....
