Crew cab frame on Ext cab

Can a 1996 4x4 long bed crew cab frame be swapped onto a 1993 4x4 long bed ext cab? if so what exactly must be done to make it work. Ive got some frame rot near the front passenger side and found a cheap rust free frame for sale only problem is its for a crew cab.
