Man, sweet install. I always wanted one of those shifters for my old truck, but I lost that truck a long time ago in a total. I'd LOVE to put one in my current truck, but if it's around an inch and a half shorter already plus me having a body lift will probably equal a little nub on the floor that I can't reach unless I smash my face on the steering wheel.

Looks great!

So about a year & a 1/2 later, & this has got to be one of the absolute best things I've done to the truck. Up/down through the gears, like driving a sports car!
Truck needs some balls though. Getting pretty yawned with the 6!
Actually considered robbing all the good stuff of the '98, & selling the rest.
Then dropping this truck to 4/7 with a 5.3 in front of the NV3500.
Just 'cause the shifty thing is so much fun with this shifter!
Either that, or convert the '98 to a T-56!
Hmmmm...

Only thing that I am not impressed with, though.
The quality of the finish on the shift ball.
The one in my Nova was ten years old when I bought the car. Nothing wrong with it. Looked like new. 90,000 miles.
This one has the clear peeling/rubbing off of it. I can see where my (F*d up) fingers & thumb have been holding onto the shifter.
Doesn't hurt the performance, & by the wear, I know it's mine.
It's certainly not going to look as good as the Nova's did after 10 years.
