Here goes.... the sleeve with the o-ring is a tight fit to the output shaft...when the yoke is installed ..it fits into the sleeve and seals off any trans fluid from getting onto the splines and working out thru the vent hole.... the sleeve is long enough so that in regular driveshaft movement..the yoke is always in the sleeve...either the o-ring has failed or the driveshaft is not of the correct lenght...always clean with emery paper and lube the yoke to prevent damage to the o-ring... I think with flip kits and bagged suspensions..driveshaft lenghts are critical.... sorry to be long winded...been 30 years and brain is overloaded
