Anyone broke a rod or blown up a stock L31?

Not much will with stand quit often 5500 rpms stock

I've seen plenty of l31's with GMPP intake and a carb make well over 2000 miles at 6200RPM Constant and hold up just fine. And that's a lot of abuse.

in my opinion its all about the oil pressure.If your spinning a motor at 6500 better hope your making atleast 80psi of oil pressure to be safe.
