Well after dealing with a tornado flying over my property I'm finally getting back to this project.

Old spring pack and new spring pack...

I'm going to try to hang the axle this weekend, depending on the weather. I'll leave the spider gears open for now just to get this truck moving again. I can always pull the carrier out and put a spool in while it's in the truck later.

I like it! It will make it easy to spot oil leaks...

Has anybody used a conversion U-Joint before or know which one I need for this swap?

Here are some part numbers referenced. It didn't say if it was a 9.5" or 10.5" 14 bolt (or if there's even a difference between the 2.)

Do you have the little straps on the yoke? Probably good to go ahead and measure those just to be on the safe side.

Thanks! I was able to bring that info into the local parts store along with a old cap from the driveshaft and they were able to cross refence it to get the U-joint I needed. They even had it in stock!

Awesome! Can you post the part number? You know, in case someone needs to swap a 14b on their half town down the road...
