I know that, what I was thinking of doing is hacking the steering column, gauge cluster, climate controls, and drivers airbag into an older style dash.

I'd obviously be fabricating a bunch of brackets and doing some plastic welding to make it all work.

I could even 3d print some pieces since my brother configures and repairs 3d printers professionally.

if it was me I would disconnect the battery and pull the air bag fuse to make shore that the drivers air bag dose not randomly go off
