was looking at adding a leaf, not sure how center bolt comes off, all I see are threads at the top, nothing on bottom, or do I need to clamp springs first to see anthing
and what are the shims for, not sure where to put them

all you have to do is undo the u bolts and shocks possibly to drop the axle down enough to remove the center pin. will need some vise grips on the bottom and c clamps on the springs just for safety. have taken em apart without em but it wont hurt to use one.

figured it out, took me 4 hours, got done at 12.30 last nite
had trouble getting things lined back up for the u bolts, the front kept want to pop off
just cut the old center bolts off, vice grips wernt holding
noticed the old leafs all had a shim between them, and the one these came with I guess was to go on the bottom between helper spring and the bracket on axle, so 2 of the leafs have no shim between them now, that's not a issue is it?
didn't measure, but you can tell its higher
gonna go load up materials at lowes now, see if it drops like it used too
