To answer your question, I would say yes. I can’t believe it changes emissions, other than maybe an improvement.

This was developed from problems in California due to fuel additives with these trucks back when they were newer.

I don't think anyone could ever find out, even if it is not. It will be buried under the intake manifold. Besides, you can't even buy the original part as this one superseded it. It's sad that someone in this country has to ask these kind of questions when it comes to routine maintenance.

I think you can still buy original style poppets. I’d have to to check whether ACdelco is still manufacturing them.
