I was just 2 miles from home after a 400+ mile trip when it died.

I had to get my brother to tow me with Ol' Yeller. Unless I somehow burned 42 gallons in 178 miles the fuel pump is definitely dead. No big deal, I'll get a new one in there by next week probably.

That'd be 4.24 mpg. I've done worse with my dually. 3.5 mpg is my record.

At least it happened on mile 398 and not on mile 198!

Maybe the racing stripes added more hp and netted you much worse gas mileage...

Looks better than most of the "those don't belong there" homemade racing stripes around here.
I think "racing stripes" got lost in translation in my area. Looks like two dudes get drunk and each has a paint roller and "race" eachother from front to back of their car/truck...

Nope. A gnarly ass Kansas crosswind. Truck, camper, and trailer pre-blower foot to the floor for an hour or so. It was disgusting. I shudder at the thought of those conditions with boost though I can't imagine it being much worse.

I thought the pump went out, but I just ran out of gas.

It was a 400 mile round trip, and I filled up. Before leaving, and topped it off when I got there.

I forgot to take into account that my cousin borrowed the truck and put like 100 miles on it while I was down there (the nearest grocery store is 1/2 an hour from the farm).

I did the math and it looks like I got 10.7 MPG
