One day at work while ideling on break, the heat stopped, then I realized that it was low on coolant. I never overheated it since the thermostat was stuck open.

That's right, our trucks do tend to mark their territory LOL!
But yeah, if you're seeing a bunch of orange soda underneath, then it's water pump or hose time. Been there done that!

I just had the Burb washed by this new carwash in town, and they did a great job.

It got me thinking, should I paint a racing stripe?

I have to get a new hood anyways due to the rust hole that it had.
(I just quickly packed it with fiberglass filler and painted over it)

And, I used to have a real crap stripe on my other Burb a long, long time ago before I painted it white.

I loved seeing the stripe stretch out over the hood while driving.
(Me driving up next to the "Fucarwe High Skool Bus" on the interstate)

Sort of like with the hood on my yellow truck; when I put a red hood on it and decided to 2 tone it instead of totally repainting it to match.

Welp, that didn't take very long at all.

Welp, that didn't take very long at all.

From start to finish it took about an hour.

I masked it off, scotchbrited it, then painted it. It's got plenty of imperfections, but this hood isn't in the best shape.

I finally got the hood on, and it looks a hell of a lot better than the one in the '95.
