Acording to that same brochure it was just the 4500lb front axle rated diff that was only in the crew cabs

Only thing I can think of is the 4wd 3500HDs, but those only had 5.13s. But googled that number and some solid axle stuff came up. Also, the 9.75" is the ring gear diameter for a Dana 60.

And no HD left GM's hands with 4wd, those were all conversions. I just checked my 97 and its front axle is rated at 4500#.

I have a front diff apart from a 93’ crew cab and it’s a 9.25.
The same brochure for a 93’ lists it as a 9.25 even at 4500lbs

I might go measure my 94’ CC front diff and see if the case is any different.

based on what I see on the 93 diff, the only way there could be a 9.75 gear is if the external case dimensions were bigger too

My CC has the same diff as the EC dually I junked.
