4l60 applications

Alright heres the deal I have a used 4l60 I am getting for 150 dollars but I wanna make sure that it will work in my truck which is a 94 1500 350, will any 4l60 work in the truck with out any modifications to the cpu?

the donor transmission is out of a 93 suburban.

they both should work between each other. im assuming your 94 came with a 4l60 right? cause mine has a 700r4 but its a 4.3 so.. im no expert but it should work.

yes mine is a 4l60 also. I am having my wife do the calling to get quotes for rebuilds one guy quoted her 2k to rebuild. That guy must be smoking some good stuff.

no ****, lol. is it a 4x4 trans? i got my trans rebuilt and tcase went thru for ~1300..

edit: alot of the smaller shops out there are hungry for work and will do good stuff for a lower price. like a fat chick

my rebuild quote was ~1100-1400 I wouldn't pay beyond that range

Well I keep getting some high quotes in the 1000+ range thats a bit much. Considering finishline has way better transmission for that price range. Hell they want more than I bought the truck for.

93 tranny should work in a 94. The 95+ trannys use a different setup I believe.

went with a 93 tranny out of a suburban 4x4.
