yes black metal is not for every one it is an aquired taste early black metal was delibertly recorded as cheaply and poorly as they could some bands in the genre still sound like that but most have refined their sound here is a very condenced version of the mayhem story it is kind of dark

Only thing I can think is spec'd for no on road use, federal mandates don't apply, Farm use, probably certain gov. entities, vehicles that spend their life on the tarmac, shipping ports, other industrial uses,etc. At one time you could order them anyway you want. These days everything down to the lawnmower and weedeater need to be EPA compliant snd headed towards EV. lol

The exhaust is glowing because its too lean,. and or retarded timing,.add a couple more degrees to the timing and stretch the tbi fuel pressure regulator spring

What's "HOT"? Because the exhaust manifolds get red? Under sustained high engine speeds, they may get hot enough to glow a bit. What is the actual water temp? Is the tail pipe black and sooty? Any black smoke coming out of it? As was asked before, how is the throttle response? A good indicator of being clogged. Does it sound like it's struggling to breathe?

Need more info.

We havent got that deep yet. No black smoke. And it will glow driving 10 mins to town
