So, tried to dump the clutch and blow the tires off my truck, didn't work. Something in the rear end didn't like the idea. My buddy has a 12 bolt. Is that much better or should I try to find something bigger like 14 bolt or something? On a very tight budget.

The mounts and width are completely different. Find one from this body style, bolt it in and go.

Tight like super tight. 12 bolt is practically free. I'm just wondering if it will hold up a lot better then the 10 bolt did.

I once owned a 67 Chevy Van series 20. It had a 12 bolt, 4.11 Posi on leaf springs. Best part of the truck! Any expert know whether this housing would bolt into a GMT400 C-1500?
