14 bolt sf swap

I am swapping a 10 bolt from my 97 Chevy k1500 to a 14 sf from a c2500 will the mounts match up? Besides doing a conversion u joint?

The C2500 axle is narrower. Find one from a K2500.

What would be the downside of it being narrower? If the mounts are still the same for the leafs?

What about a 99 2500 would those mounts be the same

On a 4x4 the rear axle is already narrower than the front, would you really want an axle that is even narrower than the original? No..

If the '99 2500 is the same body style, then yes.
