Manual or electric?
If they're manual, it's just a few 12, 13, or 1/2" bolts. Can't remember exactly. But take a pic before you take the tracks off, so you can see which way the spring(s) go when you put back together.
Plate the weld. Tracks & seat frames take a beating in a collision. If the weld was to break, it might diminish the effectiveness of the air bag.
If they are electric, sometimes it easier to leave both sides attached to work on them. They can be taken apart, but spend some time doing that. Pictures, notes, plastic baggies for parts & a felt pen to label them. Even if a bag has one screw in it. Put the pic # on the bag so you can see where to put stuff. I don't how mechanical you are, but if you're going this far, take the motors apart, too. Polish up the rotors & stators with some crocus cloth. Check that all the contacts are good with no corrosion. It only takes one double loaded latte or a can of Coke to **** 'em up!

This is gonna seem like an odd question but I have the split bench set up that has the drivers seat that is a standard bucket seat (60/40?) Anyways the inner track on the drivers seat is broken so the seat sort of floats up and down. Are the tracks able to be changed? Like are they bolted to the seat on one side and then bolted to the riser on the other? I like the low back seats the truck has and would def like to keep the drivers bucket if i can change out the tracks by themselves.

Yes, the tracks can be swapped out. They are installed just like you described.
For the prob you have with your's, it just may be a missing nut or bolt. That would be the cheapest & easiest to fix.
The other extreme of the prob could be a broken frame inside the seat. The frames are just made outa 1/2" tubes. The pipes can break, especially if the vehicle's ever been in an accident.
I've seen broken welds. too. This can be caused by an accident, or just from use, especially with a bigger person, &/or how hard a person jumps in & out of the truck. These trucks are getting on, now, & stuff like this is gonna start to show on some.

I know it has been asked in this thread but I never saw any pictures/solid answers. What about 3rd gen buckets? I have a set of camaros in storage and I think they would be great in my truck mainly because I want to build a center console with all the "trimmings" so to speak. Does anyone have pictures of some 3rd gen buckets in these trucks?!

you sure the track broke? most of the gm seats break by the steel framing in the seat cracking and breaking off at the bolt mounting area, i've fixed quite a few by taking the seat cover off and welding it back together and then add a strip of flat stock welded to the front of it for more strength.

After reading through this thread and the thread over on fullsizechevy.com my heads spinning so I apologize in advance if i've accidentally skipped over the answers to this but i've got (2) questions I just need to get some clarity on. For background purposes: I've got manual slide/tilt (non-powered/non-lumbar) 60/40 (Driver/Passenger) bench seat in my truck attm, and after 200k miles its really sagging bad and has that "rocking" action going on with the back/top section of the seat. I really want buckets w/ a center console or at least another 60/40 bench but with the center console fold down (which i've found one of these that will match my truck perfect), However:

1. The 60/40 i've found on CL says its a power seat. Do I have power in my truck already hiding under the rubber mat (no carpet just rubber floor covering) that I can just plug/play or can I just bolt the power seat to my manual sliding rails that I currently have (which I don't really mind keeping)?

2. Secondly, if I don't go with the 60/40 after getting a chance to check out the condition of it in person, do I want to try to direct my focus on seats out of 2 door vehicles (my thinking here is that if they're 2 door vehicles like my truck than they should have the "tilt" handle on the bottom of the seat, and the "access" handle on the top of the seat (just like mine have now)? I'm just guessing that if I grab a pair of front seats out of a 4 door vehicle, they're probably not going to have any sort of quick "access" feature to allow me to get to the back, and thats just going to be a PIA with regards to me accessing my back seat.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

the power is not there but easy enough to add, it just plugs into the junction box behind the parking brake, many trucks had power seat so should be easy to get the harness from a junkyard

you can bolt the power seat to your existing rails, the crew and burban seats do not have the slide access feature

After looking at it again I found out that the part of the track that bolts to the seat was cut for some reason. Which doesent surprise me since the seat risers them selves have been moved back from factory location by about 2"
