Thanks. I am hoping to hear from someone that has a 1994 4wd exactly like mine. There seems to be some confusion on this, as I've heard the headers for 1996 won't fit the 1994 4x4. Hoping to learn the whole scoop here.

I saw one YouTube video where he showed inteference with the diff plus the driveline, and swore long tubes won't fit.

???

For clarity's sake there is a difference between the tbi and Vortec applications, but it's a simple fix. The Vortec motors have 2 O2 sensors where the tbi motors have only one. I know this is true for the 454's, I'd imagine it's the same for the small blocks. Structurally the headers fit the same on all GMT400's (squarebody headers will NOT fit), you just need to make provisions for the other O2 sensor.

The biggest concern I had when ordering my headers was that they were designed for the 4x4 as the engine is set towards the passenger side. If I had got 2x4 headers there would have been an clearance issue between the collectors and chassis as one side would have tons of room and the other would nearly touch the frame. I don't know if that is the same for all years but certainly for my 1988 K1500.

My 91 2WD has the offset motor too.

Long tube Headers help any engine combo!

Looks like hookers or 69840 Elite Ultra-Duty HTC Coated Full Length Headers

I installed long headers on my 94 GMC K1500 with 5.7l. Bought them from Summit Racing
I have 6 inch lift kit and have true dual magnaflow exhaust with cats. Had no issue fitting the long headers. Works and sounds great.

The offset isn't drive dependent.

My 88 C1500 is offset too.
Well that is interesting, as I thought it was done to give extra clearance for the front diff etc. Considering they have different chassis they had no reason to do it on the 2x4s if that was the case. Now it has piqued my curiosity, I will have to look for an answer.
