Just to piss off a few more members here is another update. Bed still not bolted and nothing has been welded as of now til i get new wheels and do final fitment but i am confident axle is straight to frame as i made a template and transfered to the other side. once i notch the frame i will have it welded and bolt the bed. Still have to shorten driveshaft as well

The previous posts about the axle not looking centered in the wheelhouse appear to be correct. Exemplary hackmanship start to finish. :waytogo:

Don't just dont I've done it on a 1993 or 4 k1500 but I did not do it like every one else to dow it right cab needs to come off
This is similar to how I decided to do mine as well. Now you have me wishing I would have looked at doing it where the front clip is already welded on too.

It's a LOT of work on these trucks no matter which way you go about it, plenty of room for error that could result in bad suspension and/or body alignment. Not to mention the safety element of modifying a frame. I'm currently trying to decide if I've got my rear cab mounts back on where they need to be

Pony up and find a shortbed would be my recommendation
