Well I didnt plan on pulling the dash bezel today, but I got itchy fingers after getting mad at the Escape at work, so I decided to give up on it for today, and get to work on the old girl.
So I decided to install the dash pocket and pulled the CD player out (if anyone is looking for a working CD player, I've got one that works well, I just wanted a pocket more than a CD player.)

While I was in there, I decided to install the fog light switch and double switch bezel, but that was the scary part for me. Since this truck has a timeless conversion installed in it, the wood trim had to be modified in order for the switch and bezel to fit. And good lord, I hate modifying things that are 10 years old, let alone 23!
Unfortunately my worst fear happened, when I was cutting the opening out with a jigsaw, the wood split, and I'll let the picture speak for itself.

I will have to sand this whole panel down, and re-lacquer it, which I'm not too worried about doing, but I'm more worried about the damage. I'm wondering if some kind of filler would work? I'm not too sure, maybe someone has some experience with woodworking, and wouldnt mind offering some advice for this situation.

But I got the rough sketch done, and tomorrow at lunch, or after work, I'll smooth it all out, and make it look better before i strip it all down, and lacquer it.
But overall, I'm happy with the outcome, next step is to make a harness for the fog light switch (if anyone would happen to have a run-out diagram for the fog light pigtail, I would be grateful if I could snag it from someone) and then fix all of these lights that are burnt out
