All used parts and I take them off- but complete units.
Yes- getting tired of taking it up the a## here. Going unto a 1989 K1500 with heavy duty front suspension- whether that makes any diff, 2000 16in chevy alum rims.
Check your shipping usps ground to x1a3x8 Canada- this is heavy stuff- but you can break it down into more boxes.
calipers would be good to go? No point sending me non functional.

Done! I did not use no stinking reamer. Used a large tapered uni-bit and a die-grinder and measured carefully. I know it is not scientific, but its a truck. Aligned beautifully and good and tight. Incredible stopping power. I think it drives and rides better.
I did not take enough pics, sorry.

That's a technique. I'll continue to use my reamer. but I like your setup, it looks clean.

Done on my 99 k1500 Burb! I used the stinking reamer ( actually it worked fine) although it took some figuring how to hold the reamer in the wrench since it was machined with three flat sides on its shaft (like for a drill press- but for the lower ball joint socket you wouldn't be able to get the right angle with the reamer with anything but a ratchet, so we had to press the reamer into an 8mm socket so we could use it. I marked the reamer and the ball joints using the old knuckle as a guide, and everything bolted right together. You'll need a couple of washers under the LBJ so the cotter pin will fit into the castle nut properly.

I had a little trouble bleeding the nbs master cylinder that I installed. I bled it to death, had my mechanic bleed all four wheels and the abs, and it was still a little mushy feeling. Going to use a pressure bleeder.

Oh, and I did fit the 14.5" rotors from the 2010 k1500 behind my 18" rims with no problem.

Thanks for the great write up!

You HAD to ream the bottom hole? I thought it was the same size as the LBJ on the OBS trucks. I tested mine with an OBS LBJ and it didn't need reaming.

That's good to know...I followed the OP's write-up and did ream the LBJ socket to preserve a similar geometry and clearance for the CV axle. It looks like it'd be pretty close otherwise, but if you've tested it without reaming the lower BJ socket that may be an optional step.

Best. Brakes. Ever!

I re-bled the MC and front brakes using a pressure bleeder (without having to remove the front wheels with the new set up... nice) and have some seriously good brakes now!

Is this possible for a non-4x4? I need to replace my brakes and rotors on the front anyway. I'd like to do this while I'm at it.
