NBS Front Brake Swap for OBS Trucks

that's no good. I haven't heard any issues with the NBS spindle/brake swap other than what has been brought up here. basically, as long as you have a 4x4, it's pretty straight-forward.

the benefit would be in the bigger rotor and the better, 2-piston caliper.

Not to mention the 15" rotors and 6 piston calipers that are available...

Looks like I may be scoring a complete NBS 2WD front suspension soon. So, we'll see if these can be adapted to our 2WD OBS trucks soon!!

I am in the process of doing this swap right now on my 99 OBS K2500 Suburban. Using 2004 NBS lower control arms, brake components and axles. I am using 1999-2000 Silverado NON-HD 2500 Knuckles. it is the odd ball 2 year only truck. YOu have to ream the upper ball joint mount. I have done so and it is good and tight, but it is my only concern. Trying to figure out the brake line adapters right now. Will have pics and test drive today hopefully. -Rob

I should have a front frame clip from a 2001 2WD to play with soon, so we'll see how this will work with 2WD OBS too.

Can you confirm the taper of the reamer is 2:1 and not 1.5:1. 1.5:1 seems to be a common size on Ebay for repairing GM products.

I can. 1.5:1 is for older stuff. Chevelles and novas and the like. Use the 2.0:1

For NBS brakes? Is all of that used parts? If yes and yes, that's terrible. I can ship you reamed spindles, plus hubs and core calipers for that with hoses and hardware.
