I just wanna know literally what do I gain without tuning this pcm ? Leaving it as it is , if I swap it in and ran it how it is ?
Would it fire up my suburban without any tuning done ? And would it match up and be compliant with all the CA emissions currently on the 99
Or Is a 0411 swap more so for after i do away with the cats etc?

yes you tell him your year engine and transmission I do not know if you have to tell him if you have a rwd or a 4x4 I am not shore if pickup suburban or yukon/tahoe/ escalade

I do not know about frying it but I do know that if you get some thing wrong it will not start
what ever you decide to do tune the black-box or the 0411 the things to have changed are rear o2 delete cat delete egr delete evap delete air smog pump if equipt delete seed limiter removed or set so high that you will never hit it if you have an automatic transmission firm up the shifts a bit there is programing in the pcm that protects the transmission against too much torque disable it
