Finally got busy on a few items the last day or so with the good weather.

I have had this truck about 14 months and I still have never even given it a proper wash or detail let alone a polish and wax.

After the lower intake manifold gaskets that will be the next big thing on for this summer.

These mirrors are incredible. I love the extra visibility. But they will take a minute to get used to. Feel even more strongly I need the cab lights now to round out the look.

Will get some night shots of the running lights/reverse/signals when I can.

Got a bunch of work done lately.

New Sony headunit
Alpine speakers up front
Wiring run for the subwoofer
Wiring run for the mirrors
New drivers side door latch
New drivers side window motor
New driver side strike pin
Redid the door vapor barriers both sides with 6mil plastic sheet and proper butyl tape
Updated my topkick handles with the correct rods I sourced recently and added the lock pawls to them now ready to mount the rear door topkicks

I can honestly say a properly operating gmt400 door hinge and latch and handle setup is probably top 3 mods so far Holy ****... I should have made that priority #1. I didn't even know they could perform this well!!

Cab lights + K2XX lighted mirrors = perfection.

Glad to see you're still chipping away at this thing; mine's been slow going but hopefully here in the next couple weeks I can knock down some of the big ticket items.

Jealous of the Topkick handles; I've got two sets of handles but no door rods or lock mechanisms.

Dude it took me like 8 months to source a set! I was going to start trying to make some reproductions for the community but got too impatient and wanted to get my setup right. Plus that's a bigger project than it sounds.

I re-bent my stock latch rods to work for about 6 months but the lock mechanism and pawl brackets are too strange to replicate so I did not have manual locks until I finally found a set on a 3500hd being parted in Mississippi lol and had them shipped to me.

I dont need locks on the rear doors so I'll just re use my bend stock ones and good to go.

But fyi you can rebend your stocks for the latch, just not for the lock rod. You'll just have to go without manual locks and trust your keyless lol.

I could've sworn there was someone on here who made his own rods to work with the factory locks and pawls but I can't find anything now.
