It will be the supply that the fuse box draws from - its inlet manifold!
When you pull the BATT fuse one of the fuse boxes should lose all power.

The only other fuse box I can think of is by the kick panel? I remember pulling the fuse. Alarm went off. Remote did not work. Until I plugged the fuse back

With the BATT fuse in, remove any fuse from the underhood fuse array and find live voltage on a connector. Pull the BATT fuse and if the voltage you found is no longer there then the BATT fuse serves the underhood fuse array. If it is still live than do the same with the the fuse array inside the driver's door jamb. Whichever one dies is served by the BATT fuse.
I suspect it is a component downstream from the ENG fuse that is the problem. There's a few of them. EVAP cannister, O2 sensors, EGR valve etc.

The issue I'm facing is the alarm goes off when the batt fuse is pulled and cant turn it off til the fuse is back in. Would I plug it with a jumper then perform the test? Or just hook it up?

Apologies - I've confused ENG with IGN-A fuses.
GM handbook says IGN-A fuse is for ignition switch - as useful as a chocolate tampon.

In Haynes I can find 'IGN E mini fuse 10A' going to (via pink wire) 'fuel pump balance module',
and, 'IGN mini fuse 10A' going to (via pink wire) to 'AC compressor clutch relay'.
That's as much as I can find.

Your alarm isn't helping at all. Can it be got rid of? Alarms are well known to create problems (drained batteries being one of them). Bin it if you can.

Maybe there's more wiring/fuse info in the GM manuals - do you have them?
If it was known exactly what IGN-A fuse serves it could be left in and components downstream disconnected in pursuit of the drain.

I sometimes wish. Alarm been there since day 1 from dealer. Alarm doesn't take that much power according to my meter. I see it fluctuate among .001 or .002 at most. Also I'm pretty sure its hooked up via ecm lol. I rather not risk passlock tripping lol. Right now it's at .012 on amp setting and .0012 on ma setting . Battery doesn't die quickly. I was just noticing that in morning say it's at 12.7 v. By afternoon it's at 12.5v.

That alarm has almost got to be aftermarket and the dealer just installed it. I've never seen a GMT400 with any kind of factory alarm.

Yes and as far as gmt400s idk lol. I wouldnt pass a Escalade with the option though lol.

From what I understan . Here in houston there must of been an option for alarm install. Reason why I say that is cause back then champion chevrolet dad bought the 98 suburban wanted the alarm boom got this one.
Mom wanted a 99 tahoe. Went to Allen Chevrolet got an alarm install. Same type same functions. I went to the dealer a few years back to get it removed but beck and masten said it was most likely sent to a 3rd party for the install. (Kinda like tints) they were willing to work on it and still could

I admit I have not read the entire thread so this might have been covered. How old is the battery? If you are at two to three years it just might be getting on the edge. At that point parasitic loads tend to count more . You might offset it for a while by getting the briefcase size solar battery maintainer at good old Harbor freight. I find the larger version more useful than the small one. Might be worth a try.
