My '97 Chevy K1500 "Silver Fox"

Installed a few 17" 40 LED clearance light bars in the rear today. I wasn't going to put on the chrome bezels at first, but once I had put them on, it just completed the look imo. I might have to get the Anzo 60" tailgate light bar for my 98.

Last week, I got a new handle installed for the topper, since the PO didn't have keys for it.

**Forgot to mention, I put on a (sorta) rust free tail light a month ago, dad had bought it for $25 since the guy said he couldn't open it anymore. Well, found out the handle was seized up. So my dad said I could have it if I bought a new handle for it. My old tailgate was rusted out, dented up, and was getting harder to open it. This one opens like a dream now vs. my old one.

Finally found some factory Tahoe Z71 fog lights! Of course, I sold my diesel bumper a few months ago. Now the tides have changed. Wished I didn't sell it. I didn't get the pigtails for the lights sadly since the junk yard pulled it (they don't let anybody in the yard ), so I'll have to search for some. Anyone know what bulbs these take?

Just need to sand and polish the lenses and they'll look good as new.

It's such a nice feeling when you find something so rare!
I have yet to get mine installed and get a harness for them; how much did you give for them?
And the light it takes is an 881 bulb

There is two huge yards like that around here. I wish i could go in so bad and roam around all day.

What yards do you go to in nc? The only ones i really is ever been too is marsh auto parts and marsh truck parts. They are in siler city nc. The truck parts is 3/4 tons and above I’ve went there to get some tires before i fixed my front end. It is absolutely huge.

I gave the yard $50 for the bumper, they gave me the 4 mounted brackets and the valance that was still in decent shape. Bumper is rotten though, so I'll be sending that to scrap. Funny enough, it's a replacement bumper, since there wasn't any holes for the brush guard, otherwise I would've taken that too if it was still on the truck. The back of the bumper is nice and clean, but the front is a different story.

I'll have to take pics of the bumper tomorrow sometime. The Tahoe is red, also still had the tail lights with the black plastic covers on them, tried getting them one day, said they couldn't find them... Not sure how they couldn't find them lol.

And thanks for the bulb number! Hopefully Amazon has them.

I hate it when yards don't let you in and roam around. I don't doubt that they are probably trying save themselves from any lawsuits or anything against them. I've been using that www.car-part.com/ recently for the yards that don't let me in.

It is pretty fun roaming around in them, you get to see a lot that you want, but can't afford or don't have room for lol.

LKQ in Charlotte, Pull-A-Part in Charlotte, and a couple local yards.
I might have to go check out Marsh Truck parts; it's hard to find 3/4 ton trucks in decent shape in the junkyards.

It’s probably a good thing the ones I mentioned don’t let me in because id probably go walking around like it’s walmart lol.

They actually have a website, not sure how accurate it is or how often they update it. They do have a lot of stuff though. I believe ive heard or read somewhere that it’s over 50 acres of land but they do have a truck parts yard which is vans, 3/4tons, 1tons , semis ect. http://www.marshautoparts.com/ i think they may be closed because of the “pandemic” though.

Friday - Ordered a chrome bug shield and soon I will be ordering some chrome vent visors. I saw a white ECSB truck in my area that had them and thought they looked sweet.

Today - re-installed my stainless handle covers, and fuel door cover. Also re-installed my step bars, I missed having them on and the look they gave. Got tired of looking at all the black on the truck.

Also, a few weeks ago I decided to put the tows back on. I remembered why I removed the stock mirrors in the first place lol. Topper and tailgate will hopefully be painted soon. When the tailgate gets painted, I am leaning towards making it a 98 style tailgate with the emblem on the bottom right instead of the Chevrolet banner.
